Trillium on my Ontario.

When I first came to Canada in 1976, these leather trillium pins could be found everywhere as souvenirs. When it came time to order my official Ontario tartan kilt from Keltoi I knew the proper kilt pin would be this (the trillium is our provincial flower). Low and behold I soon discovered that these pins were no where to be found. Lucked out on eBay but I'm loath to admit that it was from a seller in NY! A delay in the kilt saw that I had to sit on this pin (figuratively) for six months before it's debut.

My favorite kilt pin that I own is this stag antler pin I picked up at the Loon Mountain games in NH a few years ago. I call it my half-monarch of the glen pin. The vendor was Scotland By The Yard from Quechee, VT. http://www.scotlandbytheyard.com/

I picked this one up on ebay as I thought the colours were almost identical to the colours in the tartan.

My grandfathers Canadian Machine Gun Corp collar and great uncles 75th Battalion CEF unit cap badge as kilt ribbons. Worn on band kilts and personal kilt in remembrance of their service.
