Agreed on the jealousy. I have a fair collection of sharp pointy things in shorter versions - dirks, sgians, daggers, etc. I also have only functional cutting implements. Hoping to convince Michele to agree to getting an USMC NCO sword from ColdSteel.

Very nice swords, clean and well done.Nicely presented, too!

Another scripture I like, but don't remember where in the Old Testament it came from, is, "Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind!"

Vladimir Cervenka also makes fantastic blades. I have one from him similar to the Castillon finds, plus a Viking age type 'S' and another Viking age, that I re-hilted similar to the Gilling West, as it was found V. close to where I was born & raised...

					Very nice.
Check out Hebrews 4:12 for your next possibility. Of course, you may feel the need for a book stand somewhere in the display to put it in perspective.

I have one sword, came with my G-G-grandfather, who got it from some ancestor. Nobody's sure how long ago, and nobody's sure if the original owner was nobility, mercenary or thief. We assume german origin, but who knows. Much of the family history dided with my G-grandfather, who was very secretive and didn't encourage or answer questions.
I wish I believed in reincarnation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?

Functionality is the only thing I go for these days. I've eliminated all the display only swords I collected over the years, except for a heavy stainless Gladius that just looks so dang good on the wall, and a collectors edition Anduril.

The Cold Steel NCO sword is worth buying, IMO. I got married wearing mine. It's a good knock around sword to be worn, since my other NCO sword has 24k gold all over it that gets scratched by just looking at it.

Maybe not. Depends entirely on the design of the blade. Sometimes you slash 'em with the sharp side and beat 'em with the flat!
