Re: Dumfries - Burns Supper at the Globe Inn

The Snug Bar would have been the Tack Room in Burns' day.

Our top table hosts, Jane Brown, Landlady o' The Globe and Les Byers, Curator of the Burns Museum at Ellisland Farm.

Cock a leekie soup, followed by this generous portion of haggis neeps and tatties topped with cheese and parsley, then an oatcake and cheese board, coffee and shortbread.

Comfort break

The Immortal Memory, amusingly performed by Jane Brown from the perspective of Jean Armour.

Holy Willie's Prayer by Les Byers.

Toast to the Lassies by Les Byers.
In case you are wondering why there is no photo of the Piping In of the Haggis, this was because it was recorded by BBC television and will be shown on BBC 1 Breakfast Show on Robert Burns Day, Wednesday 25th January.
That's all folks.
