My beard may set them straight as to gender as my hair is also long.

    Re: Using the Urinal Kilted

I can't say that I have ever noticed anyone's behavior when I'm at the urinal kilted.

I have been asked when going into or leaving the restroom "How do you pee in that thing?"
"I don't. I pee in the urinal. If I pee in my kilt, cut me off and find me a ride home!"

Yeah I agree. I never look around while I'm using the restroom, So I have no clue what goes on. I wash my hands and leave.

I don't think it's that weird, I get those same looks whether I'm sitting in the urinal with my trousers around my ankles, or my kilt pulled up. I'm not sure what their problem is.

I've gotten that question a surpising number of times, twice last Saturday night in fact! My answer is always "Easy!"

The only actual reaction I've ever gotten is, "Hey, that looks handy!" Lift it up and fire away; what could be simpler?

    Re: Using the Urinal Kilted

I never noticed any reactions. Perhaps that's because I never really cared... I had one guy say to me once as I was standing at a urinal "I always wondered how you guys went in those things." I looked at him said "Usually I don't go in them. I prefer to use the sink."

    Re: Using the Urinal Kilted

There is a very strict urinal code. When you walk into a restroom and see a lifted kilt your brain shorts out. You turn and walk out or go into a stall because you DIDN'T train for this!!!! A guy in a kilt?! Do I leave a space between him and I? Is that enough?!? Is his scotch eggs out?! Oh lord what do I do??? Take the stall it's open.

It's just a simple panic moment that guys have because they prepare for almost every men's room situation and a dude in a kilt just rips the universe apart.

As much as I endorse situational awareness, some of you guys are bringing the same level of focus to taking a leak that I'd employ getting out of my car in a dark alley!
No wonder some of y'all are so stressed about wearing your kilts out in public.
