Pondering Adding a Front Apron Pocket: Contemporary Canvas

Either way, I wouldn't want to see such a pocket be large or capable of carrying anything bulky (no fat wallets), or anything the weight or bulk of which would make the tartan hang funny, the apron hang lopsided, or show ugly buldges. A place to tuck a set of car keys, a slim id wallet, and a $20 bill might not be a bad idea. But then the obvious question: Why not just use the sporan for such?

Not so sure I want to wear a sporran too often with a canvas kilt. I had considered Riverkilt's suggestion of vests, also, but that might be a little too hot in the summer.
My canvas kilt has no pockets, as it is, and I'm trying to adapt it just a little. This pocket would be where a kilt pin might go, and might be big enough to hold keys or something small.

Safari shirts in 2 styles, one with two simple button pockets, the slightly more expensive with same plus zipper pockets behind them (but wait, there's more!) a button pocket on the left sleeve.

Got a bunch of them; one does not need kilt pockets.
