Maybe, or- from what I know- at least from some place around this globe.
Ryan is internationally recognized. Now, we just need to make sure that he is awarded so that he can say: "Internationally recognized, award-winning......"
Now, I am not making light of this. In fact, I am very serious. There is nothing wrong with achieving acclaim and well-deserved recognition, especially from ones peers.

Well, after a long day of hot fishing for tarpon, ID and I pulled the boat out at the marina, and pulled up to the the little white board house on the shell mound where the BUD light was on. We wanted beer. We got Randy Wayne White.

You're quite generous, Mark.
You, on the other hand- You do need some kind of award. I've never seen work that looked anywhere close to yours... I know you've told me that you use standard techniques, but I've still not seen anything like your buckles. Absolutely fantastic.
And your buckles stand a much better chance of long-long term survival, than my bonnets do.
Heck, if it was used continuously, one of your buckles probably wouldn't look too much different after a few hundred years than it did new. That's the truth.

Many thanks for the kind words.
The way I got into this was I wanted a buckle to go with my kilt, and I just could not part with the cash to buy what I saw on the market. Not that there is anything wrong with that........(Seinfield).
So, being a scientist and veterinarinan, I did what I knew how to do: a lot of thinking, and a little reading, then some doing. I bought some metal....and the rest is history.
It is true that these metal things don't have a worldly counterpart, and they should have a long life. No doubt they will outlive me. However, a guy could starve to death having no counterpart, and a relatively short life.

First off- Quoting Seinfeld is always a good idea.
Secondly, that part about a guy with no counterpart may have been so sane that it just BLEW my mind! (also Seinfeld)

Well, the Aloo Gobi turned out pretty good. I added half a red bell pepper, just for color, and half a can of coconut milk and ate the whole shebang over rice. The coconut milk diluted the spices a little, so when I fix this stuff again I'll increase the spice ratio, especially the cayenne/jalapeno powder. I grew both those chiles in the garden over the past few years and strung them up to dry, I had a whole raft of them hanging around and struck on the brilliant idea of grinding them in the coffee grinder. A teaspoon of that powder, mixed with a little poblano or habanero powder makes for some interesting whole-palette burns.

This quote kinda sounds like the non-musical equivalent of the creative blues---I make because I am blue and have to get it out, but then it only makes me realize why and how blue I really am, so I make more, because I am blue.
Anyway, noticed the last page or two that I thought I might need to get my Wellies out to keep from getting my good kilt hose soiled with the depth of the --it being spread, but then realized that --it makes great fertilizer, and you guys are fertile minds, so it is probably appropriate for it to aggregate in your presennce and be used for further personal and professional growth. Carry on.

Have you seen the coconut oil/Alzheimer's link? If you consider it, make sure it is pure, not hydro.
