That is one of the worst examples of a wannabe kilt ever. I guess once you get known as a designer you can put out total crap and people will still buy it. Even if it is 2 grand.

I hate to say this but you can get a much better quality black kilt for a fraction of the price at certain "fraternal" shops in Edinburgh!

The price is hilarious for cotton. For that money you can get a cashmere kilt at scotweb.

From the wide waistband to the odd, square ended straps, to the leggings (??) beneath it, I do not like this in the least.
In fact I would go so far as to say that this skirt/kilt is physical proof that change for the sake of change is change for the worse.
The fact that it costs far more than even a custom woven, custom fitted kilt made by hand FOR YOU is not helping either.
