Let’s get a little perspective on this one.
My remark was not aimed at contemporary kilts (so you were not the target, Alan H), but at the ridiculous way the fashion designer and his models were wearing their tartan (or non-tartan) wrappings.
Alan wears tights under his kilt – entirely logical if you are a participant in Highland games.
This guy was wearing something considerably longer, and the garment around his waist was not a kilt – at best it could be called an amateur approximation of a skirt, with a pin that didn’t quite hold anything in place.
These things are not kilts, nor are the guys’ legs properly attired.
Runway fashion? Forget it. It’s not for us, traditional kilts or contemporary.
