Personally I wouldn't bother buying one because I just wouldn't wear it as they look so tacky. The same shop does a better version for £50 but they aren't a patch on Bears for quality.

LIke you, I've seen these kilts up close. They're absolute tat and the sort of thing you might wear at a fancy dress party. Anyone thinking of buying - my advice is DON'T. Stick with someone you know, like Bear. You get what you pay for.

My major concern would be the "mystery" fabric. They don't really specify. I've seen some kilts up close (not these) that were made from really cheap material... and they looked pretty baaaaad.
