    Jonesing us over!

Well it has arrived. My first bespoke kilt and I am well pleased with it. I will post photos when I can. I'm in need of a camerawoman who will humor me as my current one has humored me about as far as she's capable of but I love her anyway.
It an eight yard pv kingussie pleated in MacLeod of Harris modern pleated to no stripe. The center pleat is centered on the red and to each side the remaining pleats are alternating green and black for a dark look to the rear of the kilt. Straps are brown and brass and the really nice feature is an under apron pocket that is large enough to hold my "what shall not be mentioned on this forum" complete with zipper closure. The pocket was the subject of much discussion with my kiltmaker and is as follows. A large bag pocket hung from the top of the under apron extending down almost to the hem (yes this kilt is hemmed as the is no selvedge on this pv). Access to the pocket is via a vertical zipper not quite halfway down the inner apron. I can reach half my firearm into it so it has more than the standard wallet/cellphone capacity of other under apron pockets. Another nice feature is the lefthand strap which is reversed with the buckle on the apron eliminating the "thread the buttonhole" frustration.
No this baby is not a custom weave 16oz tank but it is everything I wanted in a daily wear type kilt for a quarter the cost of a custom weave tank.
My kiltmaker is Gabriel Everson and I can recommend his work.
