Unconventional, but outstanding. I love the combination of the black and white sporran and the black and white brogues. Well done!

***. I've only seen those shoes with a kilt on one or two other guys, but I likey.
And I applaud the flatcap. I know there's a contingent that balks at them being worn with kilts, but I figure if I wore one pre-kilt, no reason not to continue.
Looks like you and Kaila had a great time! Too bad you couldn't make connections with any other X-markers. I love Minneapolis--if I could have taken the time and afforded the gas, I'd have drug my wife the 900 miles to join you.

We had a blast, ate and drank our way through downtown. There were 15 pubs
within 8 blocks of our hotel and we made it through 7 and then it was cab time It would've been great to meet up with some of the rabble but mid week is hard for people. We would've loved to have had the company,it was a good time.

I grew up (physically) in Davenport, Iowa and my Mom still lives there. The twin cities, Chicago, and St. Louis were always great weekend trips. Next time we get back there I will make sure I set aside a few days to head north!

You'll always find a free meal and several drinks in St. Looey too
I used to spend a fair amount of time in the quad cities when working with the armory. Really nice area.

And south!
Glad you enjoyed the QC. My family owned a company which ran tows up and down the upper Mississippi. I was decking for my dad by the age of 11 (child labor laws? We doan need no steenking child labor laws!) and loved the long trips to St. Louis. Course, if you and I spent any time together, Turbokittie might finally forbid you from being my internet pal. Bad influence, me.

That sounds really cool! LOL on the labor laws! My folks sent me to work in a friends body shop when I was 8. At 10 I was driving a tractor and planting potatoes for another friend. Loved being a slave!
I worry more about HER hanging out with you more than me! hahhha
