Kiltedmusiclover is right, I often wear one on the beach, they are ideal, especially the velcro ones.
It is very easy to whip it off and run to the water for a dip.
Now our regimental brethren may have difficulties here on public beaches
Even in winter i wear a kilt for walks along the beach.
I just wear a T shirt with the kilt, mostly walking barefooted in summer.
Sorry philbo but I pity those who cannot get to the ocean, I could never live far from it. That's why i love Tasmania, you can have the mountains and the beach within an hour of each other.
