    A new record

For all those who are hesitant to wear a kilt in public - don't be - it will be a positive experience.

Yesterday I was dressed in a kilt, attending a St. Patric's Day celebration and realized I needed to get a few grocery items. A large store was conveniently located nearby. During the very short time I was there I received eight compliments on my kilt. (A new record!) All from women. All very friendlly. No strange looks from anyone.

I always were a tartan kilt and part of the pleasure comes from answering questions about the tartan and the kilt and encouraging others to join in.

A routine trip to the grocery store can be turned into a fun experience.

Absolutely. I've been inspired by so many in this place!

Glad you had a good experience. I've been wearing my kilt to church for the past 4-5 years and, like Tom Hay, the only times people comment now is the rare occasion when I don't wear it.
