Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

How is your belt working out for you?
I love the belt. Unfortunately it is about four or five inches too small. Not your fault. I meant to tell you I had forty inch waist, and you thought I wanted a 40 inch belt. The interesting point is that it is such a beautiful belt that my wife instantly claimed it for her own. Now I'm still in the market for a black belt. Get your trading hat on.

I have two of these heavy 2.5" plain belts. They come with brass square centerbar buckles. I swapped one buckle with a 2.25" celtic design belt in nickle plate. And I antiqued the other brass one. Shortened and added more holes where needed - original holes are 1.5 inches apart. So now I have 4 wide belts 2 - 2.5" and 2 - 2.25" with nickle and brass buckles on each

Interesting! The only thing I note on these is the edges. I'm really meticulous about that. They're beveled, but not burnished. Also they don't make mention of the type of leather they use. I assume it's bridle, but it could also be latigo. That's something that I think is important. They look to be of good quality otherwise, though. Thanks for the link!

The usual. I made a ton of caubeens over the winter, dark green, oatmeal, navy, army green/brown, etc. I'm still making the brooches as well. It's been fun. I'll show you at Yellowstone.

I should note the belt holes start at 24 inches on these pirate belts.
The leather is soft and flexable but hasn't stretched noticably.

2.5" Is this a garter belt? Kidding, kidding. One thing I will recommend about the pewter "Jack Sparrow" buckle...that stuff is soft. I have broken a couple modern pewter buckles, so when I made my belt, I had a buckle (a set actually) forged for it-3.5" wide, forged and tempered tool steel. If you tear that off of me (with the double layer 12 oz. harness leather belt), well, I am beside myself and no longer caring...
A pitchfork is a polearm too!

While that's very often true of pewter in general, it's not true at all of this particular piece. I have no idea what alloy they used to cast this thing, but it's TOUGH. I've been wearing one of these buckles for the better part of three years, and had zero problem with it.
