I've been wanting a kilt for a while, and with my 45th birthday coming soon I planned on buying one from Stillwater Kilts. Unfortunately Life stepped in and redirected my savings into other non-kilt-related purposes. However, with some serendipitous jockeying, I've been able to acquire sufficient funds to acquire my kilt.

I just have to wait for the funds to arrive. So I'm jonesing for the funds in order to be able to order my Black Stewart HW, whereupon my jonesing will really start! And since I've also ordered the leather to make a belt, I'm jonesing for its arrival as well.

I'm a nervous wreck!!

Well, at least my kilt-belt leather has arrived, so I can focus on making my belt and thus distract me from the other jonesing. Within 30 mins of the leather arriving, I had trimmed it to size, beveled the edges, cut the stitching grooves, and dyed it black. I've also glued some thinner leather into a keeper for later incorporation into the belt. Now to let the dye dry before the next step.

Thanks, Mookien, however with the edges burnished and the buckle and keeper sewn into place, I can't do anything until I order and receive my kilt.
