What Was I Thinking???
Yes what was I thinking was the question I asked myself on the 29th of April 2004. That was when I registered here at X Marks. A lot has changed in those years both good and bad (mostly good).
I remember the joy that was expressed when we reached 1000 members it was met with much jubilation. I have seen people come and go and come back again. All felt welcome, we learn a lot, and laugh a lot, and yes even a tear is shed. Yet the community continues to be a great source of comradeship. From one moderator and a handful of members in 2004 to what it is today, is simply amazing.
Although my crazy life presents me from being here as much as I would like, it is still just a great place to hang out, so thank you all, each and everyone of you for making this a great place.
So since this is a Kilt forum I will share what many people say to me ~ "I love a man in a Kilt!"
Staying Kilted today in my Isle of Skye.

Glad you were here when I wandered in. I struggled to see that wearing Z Coil shoes with a kilt wasn't too much....but you did it so I figured I could too.
Its still a hoot when folks approach me and I gear up for a kilt question and they ask about the Z Coils.
Can tell you that this forum has saved me a LOT of money, a LOT of grief, and led me to the best gear for kilting. A heck of a deal for free....well...not for free when I'm done shopping...
I'll be kilted in the Poor House though...
Duh, missed the anniversary bit....gets worse every day...Happy Happy.

Congratulations, GMan. I wonder how old XMTS is in forum years? You know, like dog years…
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I was very pleased to have the opportunity to meet you in person and share with you the very odd experience of Jell-O shots at an Applebee's. Hope our paths can cross again at the next Denver-area meet-up!

I Love X Marks the Scott, I haven't posted in years (because I don't have much to say) but I come back to this site often just to see what's going on. I like that, even though I live in a city that has next to no kilt wearers, I can come to this site and feel like I am not alone in my love for kilts. Thank You Everyone!
