I frequently read here at "X", and on other kilting forums, of chaps making their own sporrans, sporran straps, etc., and being told how easy it is to do.
But, where does one find the raw materials? I don't believe I have ever seen 'raw' leather being offered for sale, and even if I did I'm pretty sure it would be massively expensive.
Is a puzzlement!
