Thanks for your service! Glad you were able to wear the kilt for the special occasion.

Congratulations and a very big thank you.
(You brought a kilt to the desert? Now, that's what I call packing for a trip!)
I've been USAF all my life and have not had the pleasure of attending an Army reenlistment. Is the drink/toast a normal part of the Army ceremony?

What a great C.O. Thanks for your service! Don't forget to check six, and bring 'em back alive.

Great idea- Hope you started a 'new' trend! You've given me the idea to add tartan to my son's dress white uniform shirt , that will show when the jacket's removed.
Thanks for your service, and being on 'our side' !

Once again, thanks for all the well wishes everyone! As far as saluting goes, you are still expected to salute on most of the bigger bases even in afghanistan (I spent a few days in Bagram recently). And as for my safety, I'm actually in Qatar which is pretty safe, we even go off post in civilian clothes to go to the local markets and sightseeing. There is actually another member of the forum who even actually lives here as a civilian off post.
Kilts, because some men need the extra room, and some men wear pants.

Just wanted to list where most of the stuff that I am wearing in the pictures comes from (in case anyone was wondering). The kilt is the Dress Gordon made by The Scotch House that I bought from brewerpaul a while back, the sgian dubh (i don't think you can see it in the pictures) was made by Joe Gondek, the sporran has had the tassels removed and is from Stillwater Kilts, and the hose, flashes, and waistcoat are from buyakilt.com.
