Thanks for all the compliments on the photography. All I can say is that it helps to have a good model, which in this case is the Scottish landscape. Hard to go wrong there. And of course I am not showing you the approximately 1000 other photos I took. :-) So you are just seeing the creme de la creme.

To answer a few questions, I shot all of the photos with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28. As I said, I simply used the auto-intelligent mode for most of these. I'll occasionally play around with the manual settings, but I find in most cases the camera is smarter than I at knowing what to do.

My wife accompanied me on the vacation, but we did leave our kids behind in the care of their grandparents. (It was supposed to be a vacation for us, after all!) Yes, there are plenty of photos of my wife and I. Sadly, none kilted. I did take a kilt with me, just in case the opportunity should arise to wear it, but I have to say it never did. We spent a lot of time out hiking, and I do admit I had some romantic notions of hiking out in my kilt. And if the weather had been nicer I probably would have. But even the "sunny" days we had came with a constant threat of rain off an on, and what you don't see in the photos is the high wind we had to put up with from time to time. Caution being the better side of valour, I wore my hardy blue jeans for most of our outings. Sorry to disappoint!
