Now really, Quebec isn't that hot in the summer. I highly doubt you'll be too inconvenienced in regular kilt socks.
How do I know? Well, I have spent part of almost every summer since 1961 at my family's summer property north of Maniwaki. There are some warm days, without a doubt, but generally the weather is pretty nice in the summer. Save the soccer socks for the playing field.

Oh, Believe me you, when it hits 42 degree Celcius in the shade, just guess how much it hits you in the open..... Granted it lasts only a week, maybe two...
Maniwaki??? You're almost on the border on the north pole... (tongue in cheek here...)
