"Bookmarks" (sort of)
Hi!
With the "old" software, whenever I went back to view a thread I had previously seen, I was taken immediately to the spot where I left off. Now it often puts me much earlier in the discussion.
Am I holding my mouth wrong, or is anybody else having that experience too?

I don't remember this happening but it would be awesome!

Haven't noticed it happening and I use that feature a lot. Are you always logged in when browsing? (If not, of course, it has no way to "bookmark" your progress in thread.)

Yup. Logged in all the time. Odd thing is that it doesn't always happen. I'm using the little blue box at the left of the listing that's supposed to take me to the new thread. Sometimes does!

Yeah. It's disturbing when I scroll down and down and down and then find my own post.

FB,
I have even started to respond (again) with a similar response as I have already responded. Like you, I read my own post then think "boy, I am sure glad I didn't reply again with a nearly same comment!"

It happens to me when there are several pictures in the thread. It seems like vBulletin scrolls to the 'correct' location, but then the scrolling gets 'warped' by the pictures being loaded.

Father Bill,
Can you give me some more details please.
How do you return to a thread you have already read? Do you click the little box for "go to last unread post"? Or do you do something else?
If I click the little box, I used to be sent directly to the end of the thread. Now it seems I am first directed to the top of the page and then after a moment or two it will scroll down to the last post. Almost as if the software is having to re-load everything.
But it almost always takes me to where I asked it to go. Even if I have to pause and let it do it's thing.
So would you please walk me through the steps you take so I can try to duplicate what you are seeing.

Hi Steve. I always click the little blue box to get back in. Sometimes it takes me right there, but just as often (or more often) it takes me someplace else at random. As commented, if there are pictures it jumps around but then it does one or the other with no apparent rhyme nor reason. I then have to scroll around to find out where I was in the conversation.
