You always know......

There is often the time Im walking into my favorite pub or just down the street and I know what is in peoples mind. This is when in my kilt and there are always key things you notice... What are your "always know" moments.


Walking down the street and the male of the couple, regardless of age, looks at you with contempt. The woman behind him usually smiles broadly and says hello... You know she likes the kilt and he feels ... well ... you get the point.


Or the other night walking out of the pub past two women sitting at a tall table. As I walk by I smile and say hello to one, she leans over as I walk past pointing and I could imagine "Look at him in that kilt". My peripheral vision is quite good.


Always makes me smile and glad Im wearing my kilt and looking sharp.

Yes, you always know. Just the other day, at a local mall parking lot, I walked past a twenty-something woman. We politely exchanged silent nods. A few seconds later, I heard a small commotion of sorts behind me. Turning around, I saw her picking up her package from the ground. It seems she had walked onto a parked car. I'm assuming because she had her head turned my way. She didn't see me glancing back at her. Needless to say, I walked away with a silly smirk.

Brewerpaul the two on the street sound like they could be my parents. Mom always want to get me a MacMilan one and dad (not being scottish) is horrified that his offspring might wear one.
