The Much-Anticipated End of the Jones...

Here are some pics taken with a timer of my first kilt being unpacked and tried on - fits like a glove. It's a Scotweb Argyll Package with 8yd 16oz MacDonald Clanranald Modern. Enjoy - I certainly am!

Pleated to one of the multitude of red stripes. Excuse the wearing of the kilt on the high side in some of the pictures, I've still got to get used to the sensation of wearing something at knee-length.

The full kit, with an obligatory pleat shot:

    Verdict?

    Well done laddie!

You make an interesting comment about wearing your kilt on the high side and of course that is entirely a personal perception and entirely any one's choice. However if I may use your picture, purely as an educational example and in no way a criticism, for those that are struggling with kilt height, there is a school of thought, from perhaps the "traditional school", who would be quite content to wear the kilt up to half to an inch(and a tad) heigher than in your picture. Some of you might be interested in one of my early old posts " Interesting Letter" where kilt height is discussed. Its not "gospel" in any way, but it is a point of view that some may find interesting.

Although I don't normally comment on another man's posterior (aloud, at least), I think it all looks great. The length looks perfect (to my tastes) and I've always been interested to see how well those package deals turn out. Very well, it seems. Congrats!

Very sharp indeed, and the length is perfect, IMHO.
