A bit tacky perhaps?
I was quoted £475 for a kilt the other day and thought it pricey but it was actually a bargain.

"No questions or answers have been posted about this item."
Questions aplenty but answers might be in short supply.
I do wonder why, when they're so proud of the "red and white stitching throughout," they weren't more careful with the close-up photography. That's a pretty dodgy red stitch right there in the middle of the detail shot!

Oh my sainted aunt, are they kidding?! I mean, presumably they're NOT kidding,as it's a live listing on eBay, but wow... And LOL re the red stitching glitch - you'd have thought they'd pick a stretch that was free from oopsies for the detail photo!
Astounding, no bidders yet, you'd think Rangers fans would be queuing up for this unique piece of memorabilia - oh wait, you can't make a queue with only two people... I jest. Honest. Who knew there was such an ex-pat Glaswegian enclave in Corby, Northamptonshire, of all places?

You have never heard of the "Corby Commandos" then?
I will give two clues - There weren't military and they weren't male.

I'm relieved to learn, on further review, that this is a private listing. According to eBay's glossary, "Sellers may want to use this option when they believe that potential bidders for an item may not want their user IDs disclosed to others." So go ahead, bid away without fear of exposing yourself to the ridicule!

Ah, yes - it is an eBay UK thing. In ALL auctions generated from the UK or Ireland, the bidder's identity is a randomised code. So a bidder with the user name of kiltsforme, could be called o678m, because there is an o and an m in his user name. How that benefits anyone, eBay can't rightly say. It is supposed to be for our protection - so I hope everybody feels safer, now.
They have a second level of security above that. If a vendor decides to hold a private sale, all the bidders identities become, Bidder1, Bidder2, Bidder3, etc ... But the kicker is that Bidder3 could be the third BID, or he could be the third bidder - no way of telling. So when you see an auction with 27 Bidders, you don't know if you have to fend off 27 others, or there are two people going head to head. Oh, the joy. Oh, the excitement.

For £2k I think I would rather take my chances and by the Club as they are so short of cash.

I think the lister must be high on something besides the price of the kilt.

Ok, if one of our wonderful kilt making members wishes to work a business venture I have access to an embroidery machine. Just think of the money to be made when we break out a line of kilts in major international sport teams and undercut this poor chap by asking $2500 American each.
