Eight pounds lost is eight pounds lighter than 4 months ago. When I still led aerobics classes, I told folks not to expect huge, drastic weight loss in the first year of their return to an active lifestyle. In fact, I warned them of weight gain because muscle weighs a lot more than fat. Also, rapid weight loss isn't healthy! Stay on course, and check in again in about six months. It takes a while for a body to get used to new stuff.
