    random Ebay sightings 3

As you know I troll Ebay and amongst all the tat there are interesting, old, and odd things to be seen.

Here's a necktie and scarf set which according to the seller are marked Made In Scotland. Goofy is often depicted playing the pipes for some reason

Here is a magnificent sterling silver buckle. I put in a rather high bid but the bidding went way beyond me

a very nice early "day" sporran made by Stirton, Perth

a lovely crossbelt with engraved sheet metal fitments straight out of The Highlanders of Scotland

    a wonderful Seaforth Highlanders sporran

an old sporran with a shape of cantle I don't recall seeing before

and finally a lovely check tweed Argyll

You seem to have a real talent for finding both the wonderful and the very obscure on ebay as far as kilt related items. I might just have to send you a wish list of items that I haven't been able to find for myself. Well, that is one I get some extra cash to spend on them.

What marvellous items! What search parameters did you use to find them?

I'm pretty sure that one is gone by now, and that it was a small size anyhow. (The really cool vintage jackets are nearly always size 36 or 38.)

Yes there are quite a few on ebay and yes they are most often smaller. I need a 46 but my main issue with any jacket is sleeve length. With long arms most jackets just wont work for me unless they have quite a bit to let out. Many thanks
