Well done, Jeffrey! You should be very proud of your work.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the kind words, all! It progressed much faster than I thought it would when I started the project. Now I have to get back to some of the other projects that have been on the back burner (though it will be a challenge considering my family and I are moving across the USA in less than 2 weeks). There will definitely be at least two more bags to come for this cantle: a tan/natural utilitarian model made by me...and a medium to light brownish red one made by Artificer...I'm strongly considering an Axis/fallow deer hair on front panel for that one...choices choices!

Very nicely done, Jeff, it came together beautifully! The welt detail is especially nicely turned out, and you know I love the red interior.

For newer members who may not be in on the joke, the term "Lugosi" was coined by our own Ryan Ross quite some time back for his day sporran.

Scott...thanks so much for the compliment. As I said in the original post, I owe you a debt of more than just gratitude for the feedback, advice, and inspiration you have given. Perhaps you can see now where our discussions about the snaps attaching to a backing piece, etc were heading. You are the master...I am merely an apprentice and super huge fan of your work!

I'm pleased the advice was helpful. I was glad to see you went with the "horseshoe", especially with a very soft hide.
As for "master" thank you very much, but that's a bit premature. Perhaps in a decade or two, if I'm lucky.
