Opinions wanted Olive Drab Utility Kilt

I have made a few kilts for myself and others and have owned the real thing in my families tartan until the hurricane claimed it while I was working out of country. Her is my latest for me it is 10 oz canvas olive drab and all of the stitching is done in upholstery grade black thread. Selvage edged, combines things from the cargo kilt tutorial on instructibles, the x-kilt and what I myself found fits and works for me. It is tailored to deal with the temporary disfigurement of malted grain storage unit, and has my interpretation of the kinggussie pleat(this was to accomodate the A shape in the apron more than any other reason.).

Well done Zonker! Although I have skills with a sewing machine, I don't think that I could tackle a kilt.

    Regards

Chas I thought I had replied to you but I guess I was wrong. First thank you, second I find that it is not so much difficult as time consuming, with stitching fronts and backs of all the pleats and hemming or stabilizing 5 yards of fabric and attaching waistband et al. I have been making them for $105 but am afraid with school starting back I will have to hold my time more dear and go up about $30 each. I think I wind up with about 10 hours in each and about $35 or so in material.

*sarcasm* It looks terrible! Promptly box it up and ship it to me for proper "disposal."

As would I. I really like the look of the fringe along the bottom.
