I was not trying to burst any bubbles or be confrontational I was just trying to inform. It's just that I had an extensive discussion with the sales department at Atlanta Kilts last year concerning a custom weave and the fabric they sell. I decided not to have the fabric woven as I had confirmed that it was acrylic from a sample and the loom setup fee would have added $250 to the cost. Now maybe they have changed thier fabric and have not updated thier website but they clearly say acrylic 'wool'. I have also never seen any mill that weaves a 16oz PV. I look forward to seeing the final product.

You can press your acrylic kilt as you would a wool kilt only you will need to use a very low setting and a thicker pressing cloth. You may want to post a new thread in Care and Maintainence or DIY for advice from acrylic owners and kiltmakers.
