Finally, color on my "cheeks"
It was awhile ago I had mentioned that I had ordered a new kilt (http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...ow-line-72075/). I did get the kilt in a timely manner, but, there was a minor problem. Back it want and was quickly turned around.
So, when I opened the box and revealed the contents, this (kind of) what I saw:

As mentioned in the previous post, I ordered brass buckles:

And a box pleat:

And with it 'strapped' on:

And the "Pleats in action":

It will be proudly worn this weekend at the Capital District Scottish Games (http://scotgames.com/?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1) and at the New Hampshire Highland Games (one or two days). (http://www.nhscot.org/)

Love that tartan! Enjoy the kilt and be thankful the jones is over.

That is a fine looking kilt! Love that tartan. I will be at Loon. Looking forward to being able to see it in real life.

One of those kilts that looks better being worn than in the box.
Now for a nice belt - with a big brass buckle to match.

Yeah, I didn't get "done up" for the photo. I am not a big fan of brass but maybe something weathered? hummmm

Sorry, but I felt compelled to get some truth in there. I don't know why.
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

No harm, no foul. Actually, there is one more on the distant horizon. But need to purchase Barb's book first, and practice, practice practice.

Now that’s a surprise, Chris, seeing Mr Shepherd’s Plaid in a colourful kilt!
A great kilt, I must say.
Regards,
Mike
