I haven't heard of pipelander before, but that's not all that surprising. I hadn't heard of most of the advertisers here before joining XMarks.

Piper's Hut is more or less 'local' to me (about 4 hours away). Jon Moffat has a great reputation for customer service above & beyond. I've bought a couple of music books from there, and the Louisville Pipe Band buys reeds and other piping supplies through there.

I've dealt with Piper's Hut several times over the last few years, everything from bagpipes, to individual reeds. Always an excellent experience, top notch customer service, reasonable prices and quick delivery. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him at any time.

I like it, too. This will be my "dress-up" sporran with a jacket and waistcoat. I don't seem to wear anything like black tie any more. In fact, the only time I ever wore black tie and a kilt was X Marks Nor Cal Rabble Burns Nights.

Big fuzzy sporrans don't "do it" for me, and I've found very few sporrans with tassels that don't drive me crazy in minutes with the "thumping". So a simple hunting style sporran, it is.
