Let's try for the Rabble meet up and photo session at 2:30 PM on Saturday. I checked the schedule of events again and this is one of the better times although none is perfect. As we have done for the past few years let's meet at my Buchanan Clan Tent in the center of the Clan Village (Upper Level). It is pretty central to the event grounds. I look forward to seeing you all there.
If you can't make that time stop by the tent anyway, I'm there most of the time with the exception of the opening ceremonies.

I'd love to go, but we're off that same weekend to Old Forge in the Adirondacks for a vintage travel trailer meet, yet another of my addictions (along with classic boats and hot rods). Next year I hope to focus more on games around the NE, and get to as many as we can.

I decided not to go to this games because my new hose are not quite ready. That would've left me with a 10hr drive in both directions to only compete in 4 dances. However, if you're watching the dancing and see any dancers listed in the program from Nova Scotia, pop up and say hello and good luck as a few carloads of my dance buddies will be there.
Regular dance competition is in the morning, but The New England Highland Dance Championship is Saturday afternoon and you'll be treated to some very fine, high level dancing. On Sunday morning is the National dance competition and in the pm is the choreography or 'freestyle' highland dance.
I also encourage you all to stop by the Parade Ground at 2:45pm on Friday for a Highland dance demo. Don't just wear the kilt! Learn to do the fling and help keep Scottish tradition alive!! (TartanTess, no veils allowed )

Sorry you won't be making the trip. We always take in the dancers when we can. Love Nova Scotia and Cape Breton. My daughters had the pleasure of dancing to Natalie MacMaster when we were last on the Cape, what an honor that was. Perhaps we'll see you next year.
