Appropriate level of formality
Okay,...the Too Traditional thread got me thinking about the proper level of formality for an event I'll be attending kilted.
I'll be going to Whisky Live, and attend to wear a kilt. My plan into wear my MacKintosh Hunting with lovat green hose, tartan flashes, a tattersall, and a lovat green tweed. Undecided if I'll add a tie. Appropriate?
Option 2: same kilt and flashes, but with black hose, white shirt, and a charcoal waist coat (if my source has one today). I may add a tie, too. Appropriate?
Option 3: this is the most casual option, and last on my list of possible options. Blackwatch kilt, green hose, black flashes, and a navy blue jumper. Well?
All of these options will be with black leather.
Not sure what the appropriate level of formality for this event is. I figure it's somewhat casual. I hope so, because I don't have an formal wear.
Anyway, opinions please.
