Thanks Matt. The only other place I have worn my kilt was a highland games and I fit in just fine. I am afraid I am having the out of place worry going on, not to mention I don't have a jacket to wear that goes with the outfit. I plan on going casual. I have looked at pictures on facebook and folks are wearing every kind of outfit from shorts to pants.

Why not? If others will be casual, you can wear what you would otherwise, substituting the kilt (and hose) for pants.
I no longer own a Saxon dress outfit of any kind. If I can't go kilted, I don't need to go.

I think the kilt would be most appropriate in this situatrion, (I have worn mine on a couple of cruise ships), but not to worry, you will be the center of attention as opposed to the norm, the ladies will certainly take notice and who gives a damn about anyone else!

You are all going to sink anyway so why have that happen in pants. Wear the Kilts.

All went very well in my kilt last night. I did get a lot of attention to the positive. The lady playing the part of Unsinkable Molly Brown told me she loved a man in a kilt. Just wish I could have been fitted out with a new jacket and tie to go with it. It was great fun. I did have one new experience, of having cool air flow up my kilt from the on site Ice Berg. Burr!

Don't feel bad Cecil, all I have is an inexpensive acrylic kilt and some cheap hose. You do what you can when and how ya can. For my part, I hope to pick up stuff over time, as that is the only way it will happen. I hope to soon have my custom semi-traditional kilt from USA Kilts, and then it's hoping a tweed kilt jacket somehow miraculously appears...
