Thank you. Now I get it. I'm pretty culturally deprived you know. I loved the "British Invasion", but somehow I missed "Prefab Sprout" - probably thought they were a manufactured French legume group. But now I have a great new trivia question.

I watched a lot of MTV videos in the early to late '80s - thought they were a great artistic medium. But, when MTV started showing "Remote Control", I left the network and never looked back. As soon as I could, I programmed it out of my "remote control".
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Ditto Mookien. Freshman year of collage MTV started - pretty much the background to my studies and throughout the 80's then they and VH1 wandered into Reality shows etc and got deleted. Don't think either even show video music - maybe the wee hours of the night. I can only recall one kilted video from Guns-N-Roses.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

I seem to recall Axl Rose in a black kilt. Can't remember the song though.

Made me look - have the DVD - "Live And Let Die" - 1991 It looks like Stewart tartan with the aprons infront ( ) but reversed - not sure about reversed, he moved around a whole lot. Really exceptional at keeping the pleats flying - glad he wore shorts under.

tundramang , here he is doing Sweet Child O' Mine kilted , I think you're right about the Stewart tartan but he is wearing the dreaded white hose / white tube socks ! ( you have to get past the slow intro and screaming before the song starts ) I think his flannel shirt is the MacWasted tartan .

Not sure whether Axl, born William Bailey, or Sebastion Bach of Skid Row had the best screaming voice. My throat hurts hearing either.
