I just tell people it's my mid-life crisis. I turned 40 last year, bought a motorcycle, and discovered the wonderful world of kilt wearing. Life couldn't be better! My only regret is not discovering kilts years ago when I was single.

I was 26 when I fist strapped on a kilt, my mother always did say I was a fast learner

. Of course with a forum such as XMarkstheScot, it is possible for others to get an idea of how wonderful the kilt really is.

I took up scuba diving at 40, kilts at 50, gotta think of something for 60 and 70, God giving me strength!

Any ideas? parachuting is one idea, but I don't like killing birds.

I knew a guy that took up Parachuting.

He was told to jump out of the plane and count to 10.

Then to Pull his cord. If it didn't work he was to pull the cord for his reserve.

So he jumped. Counted to 10 pulled the cord,and nothing happened.So he remembered what the instructor said ,and pulled the reserve.....Nothing happened..

On the way down he was thinking what to do next, when he met a man comming up....
He said excuse me do you know anything about Parachutes....
No said the man I know nothing about gas cookers either

So Graham learn about the gas cookers first

Good joke David, Rob, it has been said before that bungie jumping in one place a kilt does not belong.

David, that's as bad as Liam who had left Dublin to go up to Belfast for a bit of skydiving, Late Sunday
evening he was found in tree by a farmer. What happened said the farmer, Liam
replied, that his parachute failed to open, well said the farmer if you had of
asked the locals before you jumped, they would have told you nothing opens here
on a Sunday.
