Jeez Louise....the guy whips on the new kilt to take a few long awaited pics and gets sandbagged....

Methinks it more along the line of folks taking kilt pics in their sox etc.

Think you can be most assured that he can easily dive into a more formal turnout that includes spit shined shoes.

Looks like an excellent result from here. The pockets came out to your satisfaction I trust?

    Thanks for the comments guys.

While I can still perform a passable spit shine (At least passable for an Airdale) I would like you to know that I am no longer subject to o'dark:30 reveille, I no longer must endure an inspection of my Uniform of the Day, and I no longer stand in either a pay or chow line.

This is my reward for being promoted to PFC. (Proud **** Civilian)

    Nice one, Steve!

Our guys (FFL) used to have a poem somewhat similar (about having served our time in hell).

I like the promotion quote. I may have to steal and use that one, one day.

    Thanks for that.

All these years I thought I was stuck at E-1 when I was honorably discharged at that rank. Never realized the discharge promoted me to PFC. I can stand a wee bit taller now.

It has arrived! My Dress Blue Box Pleat kilt from Freedom Kilts, made by Steve, is here!

Quick photo just out of the box with the cellphone. More pics will follow from the Marine Corps Birthday Ball on Saturday.

There was some confusion in the order priority, nobody's fault , just under the category of stuff happens. Steve worked wonders to get it here in time for the Ball. The colors are wonderful and the workmanship and fit great as well. Steve sent it priority mail through Canada Post. I received it from Fed Ex. I am not sure how that worked.

Steve, enjoy a well and truly earned Semper Fi and Ooh Rah!
