    Some other hose I like

Here's another pair I gravitate toward: Bowmore. This particular pair was from Chris at Dunadd.

Ah see I would love those hose with my Isle of Skye kilt, as the tartan has no red! But for that Black Stewart kilt I would choose anything but red, black, or white, and I would go with blue or green or yellow or whatever.

A shade of red is by far my favourite colour choice for kilt hose. Especially whilst wearing the Macpherson 'hunting' tartan.

    Cheers,

Pumpkin Orange is one of my personal favorite hose colors. Just because they aren't that common and I feel they are an underused color for hose.

I'm also partial to most of the Lovats and Bottle greens and blues out there.

P.S. Kyle, I know you "say" you are posting pictures of your kilt and kit, but for some reason I can never see your kilt and kit when your wife is in the picture. :-)

To give credit where credit is due, I should say that I got those from Skye Highland Outfitters. Those are great hose for sure! I don't wear them as much as I should; they mostly sit in a box.

Just a mea culpa about my odd obsession with hose colours: thing is, I'm an artist by profession, and it's one of those jobs that you can't leave at the office when you go home! I'll stop and look for a minute when I see a bright blue car parked next to an orange one, or see a vibrant green tree in front of a purple wall, or see somebody wearing a certain colour combination that has an arresting visual effect. In other words, we live in a world full of visual phenomena and we can't switch our awareness of it on and off like a lightbulb. So when I go to a Highland Games I'm constantly taking note of every colour combination being worn around me, and it would be quite impossible to not do so!

I haven't seen the Pumpkin Orange color before, but they sure look good with that Caledonia kilt. Nice-looking outfit overall, too. Congrats.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

My go to hose are Lovat green, I have a pair of lovat blue which I have never worn but I will. My next kilt will be a weathered hue so will be looking for a beige or perhaps claret which will become first choice I think.

My favourite single-colour hose are mustard yellow, but being the wearer of an especially bright tartan (Macqueen) has led me to some more subdued choices. My most-worn hose are probably my lovat blue ones.
