Second and last part of Day 3
We went to Basilica de los Remedios, It used to be a convent or monastery, the first stone of this building was placed by Archbishop Juan Pérez de la Serna in 1609 and it was inaugurated in 1709.
Here is the outside view
At the outside esplanade we saw the Voladores de Papantla or Papantla’s Flyers, it’s a tradition that takes place in Veracruz at the town called Papantla, they climb a big pole and start to whirl and they are tied with a rope and they start to get down slowly, here are some pics
Then we get inside the monastery and we saw a marble sculpture that gave us a recommendation
Then Llew wanted to refresh
Then we had a tour through the rest of the monastery
And the last picture of the trip
Me and my family had a great time, we want to thank you Derek because of this great opportunity.
Today I will try to go to the post office and send Llew to Australia
Cheers
Omar
