I've got a few leather, rabbit, and cow hair sporrans under my belt (on my sporran belt?), but hesitated to try something like this red fox for fear of making an expensive mistake. Then I saw a pelt at a recent gun show and couldn't resist any longer. It was that or it would end up as some would-be mountain man's hat.
It was a bit of a challenge and took about 3-times longer than my other efforts—measure 6 times and cut once. But, I think it was worth it.
Wow!!! That, sir, is one handsome sporean! I love the flaps! Leather OR furry!
