    LOL, yeah, that was with me. As I recall, if you laid out the kilt as Alan suggests, you should have the fabric for that pleat there already.

    Alright, the first look at what I've done so far! This is the kilt (still in progress) after a test fitting on my dad.
    Here is the under-apron


    The over-apron


    and the pleats


    Like I said before I had to use two different fabric colors since I was short on length with just one color. stitching the different segments of the pleats together was very difficult, but after a few freak outs about not having enough fabric I finally got it all figured out.

    That is basically exactly what I'm looking for except in X-kilt form
