Yes it's Norway spruce. I live in a residential area bordering a large forest consisting mainly of spruce, but also some pine and birch. The Christmas tree on Trafalgar Square in London comes from these forests.

Out for a party on the first night of winter, Dec 21. Outside for the pose, about minus 20 C with a bit of a wind...



A bit of a costume party, with the wear what you want instruction, thus I went as a reactor of the 5th Royal Scots of Canada. A number of other kilted individuals attended, as well as knight is chain mail, etc. I did not have to remain in the tunic all night, having a Buffett shirt on underneath...
