I remember reading in one of the forums about making rocks into kilt pins,
but don't seem to find it again. Anybody have a link to it?
or how about a "How-to-DIY" ?

Cool thanks, guys, for your responses.
Maybe I'll make a few and sell them for dirt cheap.

Good score. I'm sure they would make fine kilt pins. Or any other type of ornamental furnishing.

Sweet. PM me to work it out.
Mods, I am unaware of the forum procedure here. If I am inadvertantly breaking a rul then let me know. It this thread needs to be moved then go for it. No hard feelings here.

For what it's worth, kilt pins have largely fallen out of favour in Scotland. Perhaps this is partly due to long-running move away from Victorian (?over) ornamentation but mainly because, even if you put the pin through the top apron only, it will still catch on everything it can which does the material no favours.

Noted, Alan. You know us 'Yanks.' We love ornamentation.

Love that - never seen stone kilt pins before. Really interesting. How do you attach the pin to the stone?
