Contemporary Kilts question.

I'm kinda leaning towards the USAkilts casual kilt. I have a USAkilt semi-traditional now and love it but I am looking to have something to just work around the yard in and what not.

Rich, number 9 and 10 casuals on order and have spotted two more awesome tartans. I wear these with a wide leather belt and sporran hangers for gardening, mowing and other yard work. I have yet to have mud or dust settle in and not wash out and be ready for "on the town" just by adding the sporran.
It's the same PV as your semi-traditional. I do avoid greasy and oily as it bonds to synthetics and never comes out. I actually wear an apron in the kitchen.

I've been toying with the idea of a Scotweb casual also but I know the shipping will add significantly to the cost.

Rich - What I saw on Scotweb is wool with it's expensive cleaning bills. Not sure we see the same items. NOTE - if you go over $200 customs will hit you.

I was seriously considering a wool kilt from them but customs fees will be a bear. I think I will stick to domestic kiltmakers for now.

Tis is one of the reasons I use domestic makers that get the same fabric from the same UK mills. The great fabric needed doesn't top the $200 customs trigger point. The making cost dosent have to run the customs gauntlet. Win Win.
