    Have now:
    5yd economy wool kilt
    Thrifty Leatherneck
    Got-Kilt utility kilt
2x Black wool hose (little tight though)
    Day sporran

    Would like:
    5yd Cork County kilt
    4yd xkilt in khaki
    4yd box-pleated Hunter tartan kilt
HW from Stillwaters, to see if I like the extra weight
Make some nice casual kilt hose, as well get some that fit my legs.
Buy or convert a dark argyle or analog for formal occasions (like church)
    A full mask Fox sporran.

Honestly I need hose more then anything. But that's why I'm looking to get a pattern to make them. Nothing ruins my fun faster then the tight binding I have around my calves from the top of my hose. And besides black is nice, but colors are better.

Well I really don't need anything but I would like to have a Maple Leaf tartan kilt. I have almost ordered one several times then hesitated because I can't decide if I want a full blown 8 yard tank or a more casual 4-5 yard model. I appreciate the look and feel of well made 8 yard kilts but I have two already in my familty tartan and don't know if I would ever reach for the Maple Leaf for more formal wear. Maybe I would be happier with a casual I could wear with less concern if I damaged or split something on it. I have had both up on the websites of a couple of our advertisers several times but never been able to come to the decision and hit "purchase now".

I'm in need of new kilt hose and Brogues but other than that I'm mostly satisfied with what I have......... however I could always do with another nice Argyll jacket and/or waistcoat. lol It never seems to end.

Ive often fought with want & need. A wish is entirely different. A wish has no limits.
My wish list would be many Tweed kilts in box, kingussie & knife pleats as well as many poly/cottons, some with many pockets. The tartans on my wish list would MacLean Hunting ancient, Maple Leaf & BC yard knife & box pleat & MacLean Hunting weathered. Also on my list would be thick hose in every possible color. A few hunting, casual & dress sporrans would be nice.

As of now & have a Utilikilt, a tweed kinggussue & a MacLean Hunting modern 8 yard with knife pleat. I dont wear the MacLean very often, using more often with my black argyll.
The things I would like to acquire would be a few more kilts in tweed & poly/cotton.

Thanks for the encouragment Eric and Grizzly but WHICH ONE??? 8 yard or 5 yard casual? I am not into self denial and I would certainly buy either if I could just figure which would be the smarter purchase for me right now.

I would go for the casual for exactly the reasons you state. You have your clan tartan for formal so why not have something you can wear at other times and the Maple Leaf is a lovely tartan.

I've never felt what a 5 yard kilt feels like on, only have a 8 yard. But if its casual, just go with the 5!

Yes I don't need any of the things I listed, but they would be cool to have, and this is a "wish list" thread after all. I have two nice "real" kilts, each with matching tartan hose, several pairs of plain hose, a few different sporrans, jackets, shoes, and hats. My needs (which are to appear well turned out for piping gigs) are well met, except that I can't fully outfit myself in military-style Full Dress (which clients rarely ask for).
