Excellent picture, also it was lucky for that building that you were there to support that post!

It's the same day in Canada, while July 1 -- the date of the repeal of proscription -- is used in a number of other countries, among them Australia and New Zealand.
EDIT: Dang. I see Rob went on to point all of that out in a later post.

Again my apologies for leading us all off track with my off the cuff and inaccurate history lesson. I am usually the one taking others to task for this kind of mistake, it all makes me feel rather hypocritical.
Perhaps I will punish myself by denying myself my usual two fingers of malt before bed. Or perhaps I will pour four fingers to dull the guilt?

Oh good Lord, surely there's no need to go to such an extreme as THAT?!?
I'd think something milder, like a half hour of self-flagellation with a barbed-wire scourge, would be a better fit.

Ah, something in between. I'd say that's about perfect!

Good looking outfit Shedlock. Wonder if you could provide the source of you belt and buckle?

I was wondering exactly the same thing -- REALLY like that buckle!

Quite smart! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who took the opportunity to go kilted to work a day early. (Of course I'll be rocking it tomorrow, too...)

You look good, Shedlock. I have to ask about the belt. Was there an issue with the shipping of it? It looks an awful lot like a Renaissance Leather belt, and we had one (in brown) shipped to Alberta recently that we thought went missing, but turned up a couple days earlier this week. Either way... that outfit looks good.
