			A quick evaluation....

"R" Kilts designer and kilts craftsman Robert Pel displays his wares this weekend at the Celtic Roots Festival in Goderich Ontario.
In the few hours since taking posession of one of Robert's kilts I have worn it into a service station, stores, a vegetable market, and a public park. The number of positive reactions I've been getting have blown me away! Best of all, my wife loves it.
The bang for buck rating on this kilt...

					Blu,
Glad to hear the report. That is one thing I like about the festivals is that an abundance of Celtic goods is available especially kilts!

From what I saw, R-Kilts was the only one. There was a booth selling renaissance clothing. Also there were vendors selling carvings, musical instruments, stained glass, etc. There were a few kilts walking around but not as many as I might have thought. We had lots of fun anyway. It was worth the trip. I wish we could have stayed longer though.

Graham, I just got back. The festival was great! As blu said I wish there were more kilts to be seen. I created quite the stir....my booth was contsantly busy with people taking a close look at my kilts. All were really positive. I just happened to have a kilt in Blu's size. His wife was the one who suggested he try it on....when he came out of the change room he looked awsome in a black polo shirt, black hose and the black denim kilt... our mouths dropped. I had a few people come into my booth commenting on seeing him in the park.

Robert, congratulations on the new work..that is good news. And Blu, even though we do have seasons ( very subtle changes) the sameness gets old. Its been almost 15 yrs since I left Nova Scotia, so maybe I'm just homesick...

We have lots of festivals in BC. Heck, we have Celticfest, which is a week long festival of music, arts, a St. Patrick's day parade, etc in downtown Vancouver. Victoria is also crammed full of all things Celtic.
