Mine was hand sewn by Kathy Lare. Beautiful, meaningful tartan, top craftsmanship. I be happy happy happy.

Steve, I have said it before and I will say it again - this is one very, very good looking tartan. Well done. It was a pleasure to spend sometime with you, on the front porch of your shop, as you sewed the kilt.

    A darn fine design!

    Cheers

    Geoff,
I'm a former Active Duty Marine in Baltimore, looking to attend the Commandant's Ball this year with my wife.
Do I need some special permission to attend?
Also, I love the Marine Tartan.

The Commandant's Ball has a number of "open" tickets, that were sold last year though Ticketmaster. I tried to get a pair, but logged in about 30 seconds after they went on sale, and they were already gone. The Ball I attended was the Cryptologic Support Battalion Ball (I work at NSA). The Marine Corps League in Baltimore also puts on a very nice ball.

Welcome to the rabble! I attended the Commandant's Ball back in 2002 whilst I was still on active-duty. What a fine evening it was too!

Hello, after reading thru this thread I find myself very interested. May I ask if there is any material left for another tartan, and maybe a matching shoulder plaid?

    Hello Cody,

Yes, I have enough left on this bolt for two kilts and perhaps one fly plaid as long as the kilts are on the smaller size.

If you are actually interested please drop me an email.
