Update
Have spoken with supplier and informed them that I would get the garments finished locally. They apologised and said that they would forward on this missing buttons and offered me a discount off future purchases. This is not good enough as I will now be out of pocket, as to get the garment finished I will have to take it to a local tailors. I have no sewing skills whatsoever and putting in a buttonhole is the equivalent of designing a replacement of the space shuttle to me.
Chances are that with this experience I will not be buying anything from them in the future so the offered discount is meaningless.
I have spoken with the tailor and he has offered to write me an invoice for the cost of finishing the jacket, which admittedly isn't much £15-£20 which I can then forward on to the jacket supplier to hopefully get reimbursed.
I have to say that I am very disappointed with the level of service from this vendor because up to now they have had very good reviews on here. But for the extra £20 it will cost me its just not worth the hassle and stress in trying to get them to resolve it.
In the interests of preventing anyone else from not receiving the standards which we deserve, I have no issues with naming the company. They have failed and they admit they failed on this occasion.
The company, which some of you may have guessed is Tartan4less also trading as Kilts4less.
Such a shame as poor service is not acceptable and for £200 / $300 its just not good enough.
