    Balmorals are one of those things about Highland Dress which have had great continuity.

    Here's a very early photo of one being worn



    Here are a number of prestigious gents wearing them



    Here are Balmorals in 1945



    and in 1936



    And as worn today by The Black Watch



    Now in the 19th century bonnets are sometimes bigger or smaller than usual

    These are great pics. Very informative and gives us a look back. We look just like our forefathers did, very nice.
